why bother. they get cloudy after a while. diamonds are forever!

If you want to clean your stone each and every day, and avoid hand cream and hairspray, you may be ok with a CZ if it is in a quality gold setting. CZ's are very porous and they collect dirt fast, and that is why they dull up so rapidly. If it were me I'd just wait to afford the real thing or wait to have the real thing in your life give you a real diamond, even if it's small. Have it appraised and save your receipt and you can always trade it in for a bigger one later on while your CZ is sitting in the drawer collecting what it's really good for--dust.

ohhhh yessss.......cheaper, difference hardly noticeable (unless you tell), if you lose it you can replace it easier, cheaper. Some don't like it because it's not a "real" diamond, but it really doesn't matter that much unless they are too uppity uppity (blah).
