first hear this,

in the case of homosexuallity, any gay will tell you that it wasnt by choice. in fact, if you belive in god, why wouldnt you belive that hes directly responsible for every action of every person?

if your answer is free-will, then one final question.

are you implying that at the moment god created the world, he didnt know the future? he didnt know what each persons actions would be? if he didnt that means hes >>not<< all powerfull, he lacked the knowlage of the future, but if he did know the future, then how could that possably constitute as "free-will", or "choice".

another thing to consider is that he created every person n his "own image".

i dont believe that gay people go to hell because i think that noone can choose to be gay. i mean, if u actually think about it, how is it possible to choose to be gay if ur naturally attracted to women? right? so i think that if ur gay, it is because ur naturally attracted to guys and therefore, u really have no choice in the matter. and since it's not their fault, they dont go to hell. as far as atheists go, according to what i've been taught, they do go to hell, however i personally think that if ur a good person ur whole life, then there's no reason y u shudn't be allowed into heaven.

The "his own image" thing pertains to Christianity. There are many other faiths out there.

God is gives people free will so they are responsible for their actions.

God did create the world and God is all-knowing. He knew that by giving people free will there wil be some who will go astray. Hence, the reason God made hell.

That being said, I don't think anyone is condemned to hell until they die. It is only at that moment that he/she loses the ability to turn their lives around.

As far as homosexuality is concerned, I think it is the action rather than the inclination that earns people a place in hell.

I don't think atheists or gay people are going to hell. Only evil people go to Hell. It's not evil to be born a certain way or to choose a certain lifestyle. So long as you are not hurting others, then live your life however you choose! Only murderers, pedophiles, rapists & the like will go to Hell. Deliberate cruelty is a sin. Having a belief or a sexual preference is not. I think God will forgive the atheists for not believing. After all, He is pretty subtle. He doesn't give us any proof. Jesus forgave everyone, even when they tortured him & put him to death "Forgive them Father, they know not what they do." Gay people aren't evil. Love whoever you want. As long as you're not hurting anyone then who cares if a man loves a woman or another man. Makes no difference to me. I can't see that it would matter to God either.

Great answer, Amp... Nothing left for me to say that has not already been said by you... Can't we all just try to respect each other, and use, at the least, common courtesy towards one-another ??? Is there not enough hate in the world already ??? C'mon people, live and let live...Straight or gay, big-time partier or religious zealot... Enough people hate us, why must we foster hate among ourselves...

I think this question is all relative to the person. It depends on what they believe. I, personally, dont believe in God. I think it's all a product of human fabrication. "Christians" dont even have the answers to those kind of blurred questions.

in his own image does not mean with all his properties otherwise everyone would just be another god and we'd all be on the same level. and another thing to consider is the fact that all people aren't equal and if gays say it wasn't by choice well then i can't agree with them because obviously there comes a point (somewhere in puberty) that you decide which sex you're attracted to. so if you're gonna play the "god shouldn't have made them that way" card then you also have to ask why he made people be born into poor families

Only christians believe that because they are the only ones who believe in hell, and love to judge others.

Everyone else knows better. God loves everyone.

Its a sin to be gay, i think it even says so in the bible and only true Christan's who believe in god can go to heaven, atheists don't believe in anything or god for that matter....
