Plymouth, town of Plymouth county, Massachusetts, USA, situated about 55 km south - east of Boston. It is the oldest town in New England, founded by the Pilgrim Fathers, who left Plymouth in England and settled here in December 1620. There are several handsome churches and a fine hall, where there are pilgrim relics and historical paintings. Population 10, 374.
