How can you tell. It is always silly in the first few weks.

Well, since the greedy americans always want their 15 seconds of fame, which way is more easier than driving to the nearest American Idol sight and making a complete fool of yourself. I love the show but not the tryouts. Most of these people know that they can't sing.

i think it's always been a little dumb. when it first started, it was new and funny and people liked the idiots who would get on national television just to make themselves look like fools. (are we supposed to believe that some of those people are so clueless that they don't realize that they can't sing?) But i think that the whole thing is way over done now. I'm not buying into it anymore like i used to. It feels like they're pushing way too many bad people and they're trying way too hard to recreate the success of the prior season. But I still watch it cause i'm a dope.

It's a little old. I guess they're trying to show more ridiculous auditions and they're losing the folks that watch to see the winners from the beginning. I remember getting to see some kids through from the beginning. Now they show so much bad that the good is being ignored.

Personally, I find it kind of funny. I watch it humor-wise. Example: that gay guy the other day. VERY funny!!! So yes it is getting dumber!
