I live in the woods so a squirrel maybe but most likely the dogs that the owners feel free to allow to run loose. Hardly anyone has fences and so you'll go out and 3 or 4 dogs are running about.

The horses that live next door, squirrels, rabbits, birds, deer, and stray cats. My dog chased off the possum and I haven't seen it since.

None at this time of night. (it's 2.21am over here)
In the daytime I'm most likely to see dogs. (living in the city I never ever see deer outside my window, do I wish!)

Neighbor's dog or cat.
There are deer, but they don't come out much during the day.
