Does anyone know the real reason why the boyband Dream Street (DS) broke up?

my friend and i are completely obsessed over them and they broke up around 2002. does anyone know the answer because i've heard alot of rumors. if forgotten their names are greg raposo,chris trousdale, jesse mccartney,frankie galasso+matt ballinger

In early 2002, four of the members and their parents (McCartney, Raposo, Ballinger, and Gallasso) filed suit against Louis Baldonieri and Brian Lukow to revoke their prior approval of their initial production agreement. The New York Supreme Court denied the request. The group officially disbanded, with only Chris Trousdale staying with the production team of Baldonieri and Lukow.
