What a cool project!
you know how your trying to make a decision or your thinking about something and a song pops into your head
This one has haunted me for a long time
Talking heads - Once in a Lifetime
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the moneys gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground

Sugar Mountain by Neil Young and Crazy Horse. It's the first track on the Live Rust album/CD.

Frgt/10 and Pts. Of Athrty. by Linkin Park always seem to decribe my life & books i read.

one passage from Frgt/10 that would fit bing "confused and questioning everything:"

The memories I keep are from a time like then
I put them on paper so I could come back to them
Someday I'm hopin to close my eyes and pretend
That this crumpled up paper can be perfect again

one passage from pts of athrty that r "confuses, etc.:"

You like to think you’re never wrong
(You like to think you’re never wrong)
You have to act like you’re someone
(You have to act like you’re someone)
You want someone to hurt like you
(You want someone to hurt like you)
You want to share what you’ve been through
(You live what you’ve learned)

If you don't mind something really old-school, how about "Show Me the Way" by Styx.

Try rock top ten
If that doesn't work, try country. That should do it.
