By dark do you mean dark-skinned? If so, you should be proud of it!! The color of your skin doesn't matter AT ALL!! It's personality that counts!!

Its in your genetic makeup. Sometimes you might tan easily. If thats the case, wear sunscreen and a hat and sunglasses. There are safe (and tested) lightening creams by Shiseido called UV WHITE. That might help if you want lighter skin.

Because genetics gave you alot of pigment in your skin.
