I'm as high as I can be without being responsible for my actions! I set my own schedule and determine whether people get hired or not, but I don't actually do the hiring etc. It's great.

I was going to put at the bottom too...but then, I dont peck anybody's bottom. ..
Think of it like this...all those at the bottom, are supporting all those higher up. If we all left, they'd look stupid. We could all get another "bottom" job, but their high profiles would take a knockin.

Near the middle, which suits me fine - not at the bottom so I don't have to do the horrible rubbish jobs, and not near the top so that I don't have the responsibilities!

I am a retired CFO and was third on the list. Believe me in that it wasn't fun because sh*t rolls downhill and the closer you are to the top the more of it that sticks to you.

and if being higher up than other people at work is what is important to you, quit your job and manage a fast food joint.
