Icy Hot Patch While Pregnant

No, no, no. I am a pharmacy assistant and we would not sell any heat patches to a pregnant woman. Your baby cannot regulate its body temperature. The same reasons you are not allowed in sauna's or Jacuzzis or baths that are over your body temperature. Also there can be some ingredients that are absorbed by your skin and go into your blood stream. Please go to your pharmacist and ask there advice or midwife, GP etc. Good luck.

I used them all of the time during my second pregnancy. My daughter didn't suffer at all from it. In my opinion I would rather have something stuck to my skin than risk ingesting a pain killer. Just be sure that you follow the directions on the package and you and your baby will be fine. Good luck to you.

Well, I know a pregnant woman should NOT use a heating pad on her stomach but I'm not sure of the Icy Hot patch on your back. Better to be safe than sorry, so please call your doctor & ask.

I have a back problem from a car accident many years ago and love those patches but my doctor said NOT to use it. She recommended Tylenol. Good luck!

no it's not okay, it has chemicals that seep into the skin like bengay. My pediatrician told me this. It's not safe.

I don't see why not, just don't get too heated up.
