How would you describe the cultural diversity of your workplace??

What is the ratio of staff and customers?? The success or absence of dicrimination.. The upside of Workplace diversity or Does the company policy statement about Workplace workplace diversity? .. Are everyone from different background treated the same way.. The hidden discrimination? Customer prefer or asked for someone of the same race as theirs? Jokes or unacceptable behaviour of co-workers??

I work at a State Hospital in West Virginia and it is a white dominate area. I'm assuming we have 300 employees, and there is one black person who is an RN, and the rest are white. We have about 100 consumers/patients and 3 are black. As for discrimination in the area, it's high, and I'm basing that on the jokes that some of the staff say. The main reason for not having more blacks or another culture working there is because this is probably a 99% white dominate area within 50 miles. The black patients that we have are treated the same as the rest to my knowledge.
