Well, yes...children today are the only hope for the future.

Still...the way things are going it won't really matter how they turn out...our oceans, lakes, air, soil, forests are already a major problem...can you imagine in 20 years?

If the people that are in a position of power don't do something NOW, the children of today, our children, may not even have an opportunity to give us hope as young adults.

Here's hoping we don't screw things up so bad that its too late for them.

Cheers.

That may have been a valid theory 10 or more years ago, but the majority of kids I have met in the last 10 years makes me nervous if they're our future. Disrespect, violent, uncaring, dishonest, lude, rude, need I go on. I'm not saying all kids are like that, but there certainly seems to be more then a fair share of them.

That is sticky because every child is subject to and adult. The adult in their life may not teach them anything worthwhile or may teach a child things that are downright destructive and/or hateful. My answer would be: Yes. Children are our most precious resource which is why we must be very careful of what kind of families we bring them into.

Children are treated by adults as expendable. As soon as they are out of high school they send them to die in a foreign war.
The rural kids who are poor, not the rich kids.
Our only way to get an education is the military and then they just train us to kill.

The Hitler Youth in 1930's Germany were groomed to KILL JEWS. How valueable were they to the 'future' of Europe by the end of WWII? The children of Germany were a THREAT TO THE WORLD right up until the dying days of WWII.....
