You need to set revenue equal to expense.

R = revenue
E = expense
x = number of tickets sold

R = 7.50x + 2,232.50
E = 3,040.00 + 1,472.50 + 2.75x

Set revenue and expense equal

7.50x + 2,232.50 = 3,040.00 + 1,472.50 + 2.75x
4.75x = 2,280.00
x = 480

They need to sell 480 tickets to break even.
