i am 16. my friend is 17.
as i said, nothing happened....he slept on the floor....
i was at his house the night before and we were going out in the morning so i just thought why walk back in the dark to my house when i can just stay there.
i called my mom and told her i was sleeping over at my friends and she said that was fine. i phoned my friend and told her if anyone phoned to tell her i was there. the only reason i lied was because i knew my mom would flip about the whole situation.
then my friend for no reason starting getting really weird with me. she said she was going to tell my mom. there was no reason. she wasn't kidding. also, she wasn't doing it 'for my own good.' she thought it was hilarious! i swear she's going to, she's being serious. how do i stop her!? my mother will kill me.....

I'm so glad I am not your friend. I would NEVER use my friends to lie for me.
That just shows how bad lying is...you eventually get caught!
I think your friend is right about telling the truth, you should follow her example and come out clean with your mom.
It doesn't matter if "nothing happened" as you say...no one really knows...and you're a person that thinks LYING is no big thing...so you're probably lying about that too.
You better get your act together or you're going to end up having no friends because they'll all see that you're using them, no one will believe you and no one will ever respect you...you're not one to trust.
Better tell your mom first than having her hear it from your friend. Then apologize to your friend for using her to lie for you. If your mom called her house and her parents answered and they said you weren't there...how do you think your friend's parents would feel about their daughter???
The world doesn't revolve around you, think outside your little world for once and consider other people first besides yourself.

Well there is no way to stop her. My best friend used to sleep over her boyfriend's house and nothing happened, but she told her parents they said that as long as his parents were there then it was fine. If you didn't think anything was wrong with it then you should have told your mother if she had a problem with it then you should have went home. You should have never lied about it. I don't know what to tell you, you can beat her to it and tell your mother yourself that way even if you get into trouble you'll get in less trouble than if she were to find out from someone else. Be honest and don't do it again. The truth is going to come out sooner or later. It doesn't matter if nothing happened, but you're putting yourself in the fire. If something were to happen then what? You guys slept in the same room? That's just ridiculous. Sorry honey. Be strong. Be honest with your mother. If you wait any longer the punishment will be greater. Good luck sweetie.

I'm sorry u have such a ***** has a Friend u need 2 lose this girl or at least not tell her anything she can put back in your face is there anyway u could just lie and she i was at another mates who wasn't a guy cause i know my mum would flip as well and your 16 but there still looking out for u so try and lie your mum will believe u over her u might not wanner do it but i think its the only way u can help your self cause u ain't goner stop this ***** from having her fun good luck hun xx

If you expect me to believe nothing happened, your barking up the wrong tree. But other than that, if you think your friend was serious about telling your mom, then if I were you, I would come clean right now with your mom. Your mom might kill you, but then if she finds out from someone else, the trust she had for you would be gone.

I agree...tell your mother that you slept at your boyfriend's but that he was such a gentleman that he slept on the floor...explain that you should have told her sooner and shouldn't have misled her because you want to have an open relationship with her, but that you were afraid she would get the wrong idea. If she asks you what you were doing, tell her...whether it was having a serious talk, or you were watching a movie and didn't feel like going, or he had a problem...
Then walk up to your 'so-called' friend and let her know that she isn't your friend anymore...she sounds jealous and I would watch myself.

Sounds like your friend isn't much a friend if getting you into trouble is "fun" for her. BUT maybe she's upset that you lied and included her in the lie. Ask her next time before it happens. Obviously it's too late for that now so all you can do is talk to her. Tell her if she was a friend then she wouldn't threaten to get you into trouble. And maybe just say you're sorry and next time you'll ask her for her if it's alright to include her in the lie.

I honestly dont know. Its not your funny and your friend is not being a real friend. A real friend would just shut up and keep it a secret between you two. Blackmailing her wont work so try talking with her. I dont know what you can really do. Its hard to change a persons mind once their mind is made up.

That sucks! do you think she was pretending to be your friend so she could get back at you or hurt you (not physically)?? She dosen't sound like a good friend.
about your mom, tell her you were cramming for a test or working on a project w/him. you were too tired to drive home (cause it was late)... and didn't want your mom to freak out.
or tell her you were at his house just hanging out and stayed there because you were too tired to drive home (again cause it was late)...
you could possibly tell her he's gay (depends how comfortable you are lying. just remember if u start dating him...the gay excuse may not work)

Sit down with your mom and tell her. You both did nothing wrong. Make sure you tell her that nothing happened. And next time, don't tell your so call friend who turns out is not your friend.
She is doing it out of spite.
And next time, don't lie. If you think your doing something wrong, don't do it and you won't have to lie about the whole thing.
