They never forget. They are afraid of mice. They are big. They travel in straight lines. The males have large ------- well everything on them is large. They are great in a circus.

They have one baby after 24 months of being pregnant...talk about wanting a child! They never forget anything and everything they learn they pass on to their young and they establish Matriarchies...if a baby elephant is orphaned the rest of the pack looks after him.
White lions like Elephants, we respect them (we also like and respect hippos as well).

they will go to extreme ends to protect their families. IF a mother elephant dies the others take the baby. And they love to have their backs scratched. ( found that out at a zoo)

Incredible memories, and elephant pregnancies lasts for 18 months. Oh, and they have big ears!

They're big and grey, have a trunk, two tusks, like peanuts and paint their toe nails red so they can hide in cherry trees.
Never seen an elephant in a cherry tree? Works doesn't it?

They never forget....really. They've been know to remember elephants that they've come into contact with dozens of years before.
They a social animals.
They care and support each other and their young.
Elephants are my favorite wild animal.

I've recently learned they have some interesting "funeral" services for other elephants...they do a ritual, stepping gently on their bones ....very....romanticly tragic
