This has happened to me on the Brecon Beacons at 4 am, and it was snowing. I only had a thin jacket on, but had no option but to scrape the snow away and change the wheel. It took some time because there was no light just pitch darkness and I had to feel for the wheel studs to get the spare on.By the time i had finished, my hands were so cold i could hardly put the key in the ignition. But I had no choice. It was either change the wheel or freeze to death. I think the outside temperature was -6 . Not a nice experience.

In this situation,I would use the can of flat fix ,I carry,If tire has not collapsed from Rim,do not use the 5 dollar one with hose that screws on valve stem, use the 3 dollar one that pushes on, move car so stem is at 6 oclock position,It will bring air pressure to 32 lbs and seal any small hole, and drive it,this moves seal around inside tire,Works for wife and I ,

2 choices - change the wheel for the spare
OR
If there was no spare_ in snow_ No contact? Keep bloody driving but slower!!
Snow softens the damage to wheel rims because it 'gives'.
Stranded with a flat tyre/tire will never happen because I will just drive on!
ps Tyre is the English spelling of the American Tire

Not all women are able to change a flat tire so I am hoping that she has a full tank of gas for staying warm, or maybe she is wearing boots and warm clothes and is able to hike in the snow, and maybe her family will send a search party out looking for her.

No flat tyre BUT have were well stuck in t snow last year. We live 9 miles from nearest shop. My boyfriend said I was to get in drivers seat whilst him and another bloke who was also stuck pushed the car. He did say to get it going in a straight line and keep going.........what I didn't realise was that he meant to the top of the hill.. After 10 Min's or so and no headlights behind me I tried my phone again. He answered... very strange sounding...shouting where the feck was I he was following way back behind in a full blizzard. When he finally arrived he was blue, shaking and was then sick because he was soooo cold!!!
Must say I felt bad for weeks! (well days)

I wouldn't even bother to change that flat tire in that cold weather though; chances are you might be froze to death before finish put in that tire and it also too unstable for the car to jack up anyway. I'll stay in the car and run that engine once in awhile to keep warm and wait til morning time then seek for help or making lot of noises like pushing your horn in hope somone will notice and rescue!

I remember seeing this on the TV a few years ago. Family of three, man, wife & baby. Not the smartest people on the planet, left the car and walked through the woods, ended up going around in circles, and the wife died, as she had been eating snow, thinking she needed it to make more milk for the baby. If they had stayed in the car, they would have be found within 36 hours.

change the tire for the spare and drive on to where I was going. have the tire fixed first thing and put back on the car. unlike most people I always have a real full sized inflated spare tire on board ready to go. I am not about to be robbed , raped, or freeze to death because I am so lazy and in debt and/or cheap that I do not have reliable tires and spare.

happened to me a few Christmas's ago. I hit a high curb in the snow and crack the rim. The answer is simple, I got out the spare, jacked up the car and changed the tire. I don't get it, it's a pretty simple answer.
Maybe you are trying to prove a point to someone who is mad at you for not helping with their flat tire? I wonder....

Perdoname que te conteste en castellano,
Se retira el neumatico pinchado y se destalona, luego lo se llena bien de pasto o lo que se tenga a mano, de esa manera se podra circular hasta alguna estacion de servicio para recibir asistencia.
