Very sad, he was only doing what he was told. He should be able to get some sort of restitution. However, you do have to admit it's a pretty funny story.............enjoy

I totally agree with Solaris after reading his source. IF this story is true, then it's absolutely absurd that the saleswomen would do such a thing. She's so stupid. Yeah, most women go shopping for our own personal items, but aren't we all guilty of sending a boyfriend or husband to the store to buy tampons or something of that nature? Some guys even like to surprise their significant other with a new pair a sexy panties from Victoria Secret. We have to take in consideration that men tend to find it harder to shop for those kind of things. Any woman just by looking can tell a padded bra from a non padded. So obviously the guy would have had to 'feel' in order to tell the difference. In conclusion, if this story happens to be real I believe that he should sue the pants off those people and become the new owner of that store!

Ummm...what did he do while he was buying the bra??!!! Men buy lingerie for their girlfriends/wives ALL the time without being arrested (EXCEPT bras, the other women are right, not that they get arrested for it, just that women rarely send out ANYONE else to buy their bras) but men buy gowns, "nighties," etc. I've worked in the lingerie dept. of a Dept. store, men were always buying things for their wife...no one was ever arrested (a few times we even had some guys go into the the dressing room and try on stuff, we handled it sensitively and with tact, in other words, it wasn't a big deal)...and what is a "perversion" charge, anyway? The charges are usually a little more specific than that...there's something else going on, count on it.

Two Scenario's are Possible:
NUMBER ONE:
This guy is pulling your leg. Women ALWAYS buy their own bra's: absolutely ALWAYS, each and every time ("LizG" alluded to this same 'factoid' - which incidentally is self-evident to all women). Shopping for the right bra is hard WORK. Every woman's body is unique. Each manufacturer's wares fit slightly differently; in addition, each style manufactured by this SAME manufacturer will fit differently. Looking for the right bra takes time and energy: finding 100% THE right one can be a miraculous event where you thank God the job is finally over with! Good quality bra's are expensive and proper fit is absolutely essential (as is comfort). No woman would ever send somebody else out to do this unless she knew in advance specifically what she wanted including exact make, model, and size! It appears your friend the 'victim' is having you on.
NUMBER TWO:
This guy is pulling your leg. He genuinely was suspected of committing a crime when he was arrested. This could be something as simple as shoplifting...maybe he was making lewed remarks to other customers, WTF knows, whatever....He WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ARRESTED had their not been CAUSE FOR AN ARREST. These charges would have been duly noted on offical documents pertaining to this "case": have you seen them? OF COURSE NOT! Whatever the case and any way you look at the evidence THIS GUY IS LYING TO YOU. You say he was arrested on 'perversion' charges? Very nice. For your convenience I have furnished you with an electronic version of that state's criminal code (below). You can search by keyword until you are blue in the face: the term "perversion" does NOT come up anywhere in any statute or any regulation: ergo, he's made the whole thing up. As I stated to you at the very beginning "NUMBER ONE: This guy is pulling your leg."

I'm being treated for prostate cancer, stage 4 and the injections I have to take causes me to grow boobs. Right now I'm at Salvation Army {D} and growing. It's the reason I plan on being cremated when I die, I don't want to be caught dead wearing a bra and gown.

Oh my! I can understand why the ladies who worked there must have gotten alarmed, but how can he be arrested? All the police had to do is ask the husband's wife why she sent him to the store... and that should be the end of the story. It wasn't a perverted act when he was simply looking for the kind of bra his wife asked him to purchase for her!!

No, especially since I live next to a child molester who gets away with all sorts of sick stuff. He only got probation for trying to rape a 14 year old girl!
Hey, it's a free country, if the guy wanted to buy a bra, that's his right! After all, they didn't arrest Hoover for running around in women's clothes.

I don't believe this. Maybe your friend was doing more than buying a bra because there is simply no law that states a man cannot purchase lingerie. As Paul Harvey would say, and maybe you will know the rest of the story.

That is absolutely ridiculous. Lots of guys buy underwear for their wives. You'd never hear about a woman being arrested for being her husband a pair of boxers or briefs, would you!
Good grief!

Was this in broughbridge or somethin?
I don't think you told all the story.
If you did, the man as every right to sue the store and the sales clerk for all damages.
