I am considering buying a hybrid vehicle. On average, how much better is it for the environment than the average gas vehicle??

Depeding where you live.They are better for the environment for shure because when the run on batteries there is 0 emmission.But you have to be enviromently concious to get one because the price of them over a gas only vehicle is quite a bit.

Well the deal is that it offers you more options then simply a gas vehicle. It gives you the electric option as well which you can see how that is better for the environment. Hybrid cars have a green rating and if you stick to one that is either an A or B you can get discounts on your car insurance and discounts on your yearly tax return. Besides that, 60 mpg doesn't hurt either. So using less fuel is good for the environment as well.

dont................ok first the prius says it will do 65mpg but it will strugle to do 45. since the big companies like toyta know the only reason u are buying one is because of the planet and all that they make it out of realy cheap materials cause u will buy it anyway.if u want to get it because of the econmy buy a good diesel its cheaper and will do 75mpg and with the change u can do something that realy makes a difference like giving it to a charity in africa

the toyota prius is the way to go---------and it is the best car for the environment............period.......... go and drive one at the dealership and see fro yourself.... just taking the words off the screen here on the net are okay ... the test drive is the ANSWER to your Q.....
