Did you ever hear from them the terrorism that was going on over there all these years? Have you ever met people that just immigrated here for jobs? (likely story) From Libya, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and any Palestinians? I mean like cab drivers? Liquor store owners, worked in Gas Stations? Were they ever civililized and friendly in our way as Americans? Or were they cold and fevorish in their mannerisms? Just curious how you all know so much? I mean if you met an Iraqi who was in exile, were they glad to be here and grateful? And as far as the ones just coming for jobs (likely story) were they grateful or rude and insulting? Did they blame America? Did they tell you that they were the oppressed by America and Israel? How did you react? Did you research the truth? Did you ask them why they were here if they hate us so much? Would you go to their country if you hated them? And why would you? And don't tell me money? that is a joke!

Yes, I have met many Iraqis and Iranians both in my travels and locally from Florida to California. I have even worked closely with them during the late 90's. They are also easy to talk to in our colleges, that is, once you get to know them. Many are just like any other foreigner who arrives at our country and is very appreciative of the USA. I even had a next door neighbor that was Iranian that married a California babe and ate at their home many times as well as shared many stories.

The horror of absolute rule in the Middle East is true. One mans brother got off a plane in Baghdad over a decade ago and was beheaded on the tarmac. No jury or court system. I have personally witnessed hands removed as well as stepped on tongues in the streets. There are many women in that region that can not speak out in public.

You should look at the subject of cultural geography at your nearest university for more information. Maybe take a few classes on it. You should try and go to any country around the Indian Ocean and see first hand what is happening. Remember the boy getting caned in Singapore? Much of the American ugliness is from tourist who thinks they can do anything they want in these countries. That arrogance will get one in deep trouble and one may even disappear.

I have not met anyone that is here that stated they hate us. They state that there are many individuals that do not like Americans in their country telling them how much better we are than they. The tourist should shop; spend their money and go back home. Take with them what they learned and stop telling the locals what is wrong with their country.

I have enjoyed traveling to many countries just to observe their cultures. I have learned to be an accepting tourist who does not judge. If I see a young person being beaten in the streets, one cannot do anything. Remember, they have no lawyers and justice is swift, even though it may be dehumanizing.

As for hate, I have more hate for some of my relatives than I do for what is happening over there. When one has a sister that takes from dying parents with no intention to settle a dept, and then the parent is kicked to the curb, who is the truly evil one? Do we not have women making false allegations and sending men to prison for nothing? And what about the “whose your daddy” problem facing Americans? How sad and evil is it for a child not to know who their father is or even worse, the mother either not knowing or taking the child away? We do have serious moral problems that our system has embraced. Look at divorce rate!!! Many of those countries do not have the problems we have. What is better - or worse? Who is truly to be the judge?

I hope this has opened your eyes, and even your heart!!

Whatever they are like in their own country doesn't give you the right to invade. There are numerous countries around the world with despotic regimes but you don't invade them unless you disagree politically or it is of strategic importance.

The US is also guilty of kidnapping and torture of others, even non american citizens or residents. In fact it is starting to become reminiscent of the KGB with people 'disappearing' and suppression of free speech.

I do have friends from Iraq both Chaldean and and Muslim. I have two Palestinian friends, Egyptians, and Iranians. They all work and pay their taxes and all are American citizens.

What is your ancestry background? Be brave and tell us. We won't make fun of your @$$.
