Should the NHL hold its All-Star game after the Stanley Cup finals like the Pro Bowl in the NFL?

No. The only major sport to hold its all-star game at the end of its championship is football. There is a good reason for this. In the NFL, it is a fact that injuries are common. To have an all-star game in the middle of the season and injuries occur, could effect who makes the playoff and who doesn't. In hockey, it makes perfect sense to have the all-star game at mid season since it has become less of a physical game and more of a showcase of offense. I say if it isn't broke, don't fix it. The NHL just needs to do a better job of showcasing their all-star game and their sport in general.

The only way I can see to improve the NHL All-Star Game to make it really mean something, is to go back to the old format where the Stanley Cup winners take on the All-Stars in a pre-season game. Right now, it is simply a show, meaning nothing to anyone except the injured players who get a few extra days of rest without missing their own teams games.

NO, and notice how football is the ONLY sport to wait until the end of the season. Do you know WHY? Because in the NFL you still have to tackle. They would have to turn it into flag football if they didn't want to risk injury, in the risk from tackles. In the NHL you just don't really see hitting/checking. You wouldn't if they had it after the season either.

I don't think so. It kind of breaks up the year a bit. It's like the 1/2 way point between the preseason and the Cup!

I think they have it good in the middle. It gives the players a break and gets everyone rested up for the end of the season drive for the playoffs.

I see no point to this in football. ITs the least watched allstar game because its after the season. If it was in the middle, mabye they would get some more viewers

No, they shouldn't. They have a good system going and shouldn't change it.
