Anytime someone asks "How are you?" I say "O.k." even though I'm not ok. I'm pretty f-ing far from ok these days. My best friend died. He was so young. It shouldn't have happened. It's not fair. Life is cruel. I'm not ok. I cried myself to sleep. I cried in the shower. I look at his pictures. I remember. I cry. I try to cope but it's hard. I'm not ok. But I have to go to work & earn enough money to pay for my pretty house that no longer feels like home because he's gone & somehow go on & I don't want to be here & I hate my job & sometimes I hate everything.
I am an honest person. I don't believe in lying. But sometimes you have to, to function in society. Sometimes you can't tell the truth because people won't know how to deal with it. You can't fall apart at work. You have to at least appear to be strong.
So yes, I lied about being ok...but I suppose it's not completely a lie. I will be ok. I will survive. Each day the pain will lessen a little bit. Until I have accepted it. Until I can move on & I don't have to cry everyday anymore. Until then I pretend to be ok so that I don't have a breakdown. I just miss him...

Why would I lie, there is no profit in lying, I look like a fool, can not be trusted, and shows lack of judgement and maturity.
