god cannot override our free will, he may have warned u but u failed to see it. god can't stop us, we all are responsible for making our own decisions and have free will. use to get mad and depressed over things, but it was ultimately my decision, even though i look back now and see there were warning signs, my intuition. i console myself by forgiving my past, and asking god to forgive me. we get in these messes because we think we are in love, and we think love will conquer all, and we fail to really see the real person behind the mask until we are already stuck. we get in these messes because we fail to know or do the will of god, and that's when we get into trouble, we fail to take a good look at that person, all we see is that we love/lust. we never really get to know them and haven't paid attention to our intuition, as there is always a warning, only we are so in love/lust we don't see it. yes i believe we do pay for our mistakes, as life is a learning process and we are here to learn lessons, but sometimes we fail to remember the past, and are doomed to keep repeating the same old lessons over, until we learn.when we do get in a mess there is always a way out of it, we just have to find it.

Yes in tough times I sure do turn to God for my help and strength... I also turn to him for other things in my life.... Yes God does know our futures BUT he is not some big God up there with a hammer who will hit us over the head and beat us till we do what he wants us to do... God loves us enough to let us make our own decisions whether they be right or wrong... God allows us to make decisions and if they are foolish or wrong he lets us learn from them... He teaches us this way... If he never let us make our own decisions how in the world would we ever learn??? When you learn you also learn not to do it again and the next time you pray and ask Gods wisdom and leading before making another major decision like that... We need to pray and seek Gods leading before making any major decision especially who we should marry. Sometimes however even if God tries to tell us this is not the best decision for our lives we dont listen and do what we want to do anyways and we go with our emotions or feelings and we do not care what God says or how he would feel... Am i right here on this one????

I would say that there is a reason for everything. Although the situation might not be good, you may have needed to experience it. But, on the other hand I would say that sometimes we get caught up in our own lives and things that are going on, that we do not make time to hear God and find out what he may have in store for us.
I think that many times people get the impression that they can change a person, and the only one that can change someone is themself.
We all go through hard times and make decisions that we know we could have made a better decision. If you try to look at life positively and try to not regret things in your life, then you can take it as an experience and add on to your wisdom of years.
We all get mad and depressed, I do not know anyone who at one time has not been in this state. But, just rely on God and he will be able to bring you out of it.
Sometimes people hear that they deserve better, but hearing things and knowing things are too completely different things. Sometimes feelings of lonliness or wanting to feel wanted and to just make a change in their life, people rush into things or just do it even if they may know the chances that they are taking.

god dosent make us do anything we dont want to do. god gave us a brain and the knowledge on how to use it. you cant say it was the devil either. i use to always ask why god why do i keep having just bad luck? i just kept on having bad luck. no answer from him, but deep down inside i already knew god didnt have anything to do with it, it was me. i always tried to take the fast easy way out of things and around them, which lead to deasters. now i have learned to live one day at a time, and say yesterday is the past and tomorrow is a whole new day and i am going to make it a great one. when things seem to go wrong i laugh and say oh well better luck next time, and i dont worry about bills any more, i know they will get paid, and they always do. have faith in yourself and you will be jusst fine.

You own your destiny. You can turn to god or to some sort of "superior power" to find strenghts and energy, but not to abdicate your responsibilities.
Lessons need to be learned. If you are in a relationship you are not happy with, it fed some of your needs in the first place (whatever these are). When you have learned whatever you needed to learn, then you move on, whatever shape that takes.
Once you realise you are in control of your life, you can accept your mistakes and take it from there. I am not talking "philosophy" or remote principles here. I am speaking from what I am learning myself.
Good luck to you.

Have you never heard that God helps those who help themselves?
He gave us a brain to think so we can fix the mistakes we make in life. We learn by our mistakes and hopefully become better people for it.
You can not depend on anyone or anything other then yourself to solve your problems otherwise your using it as a crutch.
You need to stand on your own two feet and fix what ever you have wrong in your life, no one else is going to do it for you.

I'm not a religious person but I do respect in faith and I'm sure everyone do have their own faith to look upon.
So yes, in a life and death situation such as car accident when the adrenaline and epinephrine kicked in, I did turn to God for help and prayed that I will overcome this horrible ordeal. Luckily I did, I survived the car accident.
Thanks to God.

I know from personal experience recently that God knows what's best. I realize that in order to have a testimony you have to have the TEST. We so often pray to god and say "let your will be done, or lord work it out for your good, or even im leaving it in your hands" So thats just what we should do. What we think should be the outcome, or when we think it should be done,it's not Gods time. Stop and instead of saying why am i going through this, or why me. Say God show me how i can learn from what you are taking me through. Even natural everyday problems maybe God trying to show you to just depend on him. He said he will do it on time, but not our time. He brings us through these things to test our faith in him. Keep holding on.!!

I think it's because we want so desperately to be with someone. We make bad choices. No, God doesn't make us or stop us. That choice is ours to make. If we would ask God for guidance and help before we marry, then I think we would see more clearly that this person is not the best choice for us.

People usually forget to pray until they are in a mess..then they ask God for help. They think God is like a book they can take off the shelf when they need it and put it back when they dont.
