I guess I ask this because my girlfriend wants to wear capris sometimes. I'm not sure if I should let her or not.

Your girlfriend can wear whatever she wants.... she doesn't have to wear only skirts and dresses. Girls have been wearing pants in public for over a century now, why should she not be able to wear pants in public?

Are you serious! Where are you currently living? Women over here walk the streets and public with whatever they want! And yes Women should be allowed to wear pants in public,it should be allowed!

Have you looked at the calender lately !? It is 2007, women can wear whatever they want. Unless she is three you have NO say in what women can and cannot wear.

I cant help but feel a dress code would be a infringment on their constitutional rights. I am from a religious background and most women I have known wore dresses , however I believe it is their right to choose.

I think she should be allowed to wear pants when you let her drive to pick up the baby food and foot cream. Walking around barefoot all day is hard on the feet.

Since when does a guy dictate to a woman what she can and cannot wear in public?!
A guy I dated nearly 40 years ago pulled that stunt on me one time and one time only. I threw his butt on the floor, then out the door.
No one tells me what to wear.
Grow up. She can wear what she darn well wants to wear.

As long as she knows how to dress, why not? And they have the right to choose what to wear. What you can do is tell her you would like to see how beautiful she'll look in skirts and dresses.
