Is is better for you men to say I love you first. Or would you rather wait for a woman to say it first??

I am 24 and he is 38. I Love him with all my heart, and we have been dating each other for almost a year. I am scared to say it cause I am not sure if he feels the same way, and if i do say it and he doesn't say it back I am not sure what i would do.

If you've been going out almost a year, and he hasn't said it yet, He must not feel the same way about you that you feel about him. If you're not sure he feels the same way,nor your response if he didn't say it back to you, I would not say it first. In fact, the truth is, I think you're wasting your time with this guy if love and marriage is what you want in the future....if he hasn't felt it in a year, there's a good likelihood he's not going to. I don't mean this ugly, so please don't take it offensively, I'm just being honest with you.

He is 38 and you are 24. Why is he 38 and just dating? Has he had a bad previous relationship? Been married before? There could be many reaons why he doesn't say it. But if you have been together for a year, tell him you love him. If he looks at you like you have three eyes, it may be time to re-evaluate your relationship.

I think you should subtly tell him how you feel. Not necessarily tell that you love him but tell him how important he is to you and how much you care about him.
My mom is 65 and her "friend" or "boyfriend" is 75. He went through a terrible divorce and it took him 2 years to tell my mom he loved her. It wasn't because he didn't love her, he was just scared and he didn't want this relationship to turn out the same way. Sometimes it takes people longer than others to tell them how they feel. It took my husband a month to tell me and we've been together for 7 years. As long as you both are happy with each other, let your happiness be just that, happiness. Don't push, just love him the way he is and like I said, take it slow, tell him how important he is to you and you might get a response from him thats worth waiting for!!!

At age 38, he may be afraid that you will not want to hear it. WHY not TRY? He can not chew your ear off! If you have known him for long enough, he needs to hear it. I would not mind if I were him. You are certainly forward enough to say it. I hope that he will open up his mouth and tell you also... YOU deserve it! Have a great evening.

Chances are he has same fear, or was told not to be first. Just go for it, the fact that you've dated this long is a good sign. Relax, and give it a try.

Big age difference isn't cool. But do you have to much pride to say three words? If he don't say it back, then you know where you stand

I'd wait a while. Women are always in a hurry for that stuff.
