Most home improvement center carry Plexiglas. It comes in various dimensions. Some you can cut with a utility knife and a straight edge. Thicker pieces can be cut with a sabre or circular saw.
The cost depends on material size required for your job.

TAP Plastics has a huge selection of plexiglass sheets in various thicknesses and colors and they will cut sheets to whatever size you want. They also carry a lot of plexiglass finished products (e.g., containers in all shapes and sizes). And their prices are much better than Home Depot or The Container Store.

Check the Yellow Pages for Plastics {products finished/retail} or Plastics {supply centers/rods, sheets, tubes, etc.}

It depend on How much you need, what's your experience with it and what your going to do with it.

Most lumber yards carry it. Home Depot carries it and will cut it if you have the specs. It's not something you want to mess with if you've never done this. It's impossible to cut without the proper tools or the knowledge. Let them do it for you.

1> at home depot.
2a little more than glass
with special knife or a Strong utility knife , score it several times carefully, then put a pencil of something similar under the score mark and press down with your hand firmly , it snaps along the line,
I have used this several times to replace the glass panel in out side doors , as it is unbreakable if you use the thicker sizes ie. 1/4 inch
