that they are so manipulative that they know how to fool others into thinking that they are good and caring people. so It must be really hard to know who's a psychopath?

If you spent time with a sociopath/psychopath, you would be charmed by their manipulative manner at first, but when you get to know them, you can start to work out that the charm is to get something for themselves and when they don't get it, they change and use another strategy/tactic.

Get the book The Sociopath Next Door.
It's a really good book and the author talks about people in everyday life that are sociopaths. It will show you what to look for. She also describes what careers these people may be attracted to.
