Anything is possible but let me tell you.

If I was a Sheriff with three openings, received 15 applications, 5 of them were fully qualified with no record, I think you had better really have something going for yourself to get my attention.

I don't think most departments have any rules against such a thing but you have to understand you are competing with many many other people and many of them don't have a DUI on their record.

Try a small town. If you can get on there you might be able to transfer up after a few years of experience. Those years will denote your trustworthiness.

THAT IS FREAKING FUNNY!!! If it's not on duty, then probably yeah. If it was on duty, they put in some sort of probation or community service!

they put them on payroll in every state...
