Your lucky day and a easy 10 points for me.
The fastest PCI card is the Nvidea GeForce FX 5500 OC (Over Clocked). I know cuz I am in the same spot you are in no AGP slot.
That is as fast as you will get with a PCI card. There is no Nvidia 6600 PCI video card. Does not exist
OK, you have 2 PCI slots and a slot for the PCI-Express card.
Just look for a PCI-Express video card and then the more money you spend the better the card is. So go to pcworld.com and read about them before you buy one.
Below are two sites for the PCI Express 6600. If you buy one, BUY the one with 512Mb memory, not the 256 Mb memory card.

Since that is an older card, I believe, I would try pricewatch.com.
Apparently, they don't have the 6600 but they do have other PCI cards. Be careful, I don't think PCI Express is what you're looking for - it's a new type that is a green slot on the Dell motherboard. Call the people first to clarify everything before ordering. Good Luck!

The Radeon X300 is surely a low end video card it incredibly is 3 generations in the back of the latest video playing cards, while the NVidia GeForce6600 is two generations in the back of and is seen to be lots swifter than the Radeon X300. additionally, to superb your on your remark. Video card reminiscence would not anticipate overall performance in any respect. that is with the aid of fact a working laptop or computing gadget has many areas, consisting of processor, RAM, complicated disk, even the motherboard such could have a power on that is standard overall performance. So in line with danger there are areas in between the desktops that are slow inflicting it to be lots swifter in comparison to the only with the AGP slot.

The nVidia 6600 Series isn't made in PCI format. It only comes in PCI-Express or AGP 8X.
I would recommend following Big C's advice and getting the 5500.
