You can join at 8 if you're some child music prodigy, or you can join when you are good enough for a band to actually want you to join. I created my own band last year (i'm 14), but I only just started learning the guitar. I play the piano and am the spokesperson and the vocals even though I don't sing lead very often. I also write original songs. So it depends on how you can contribute to the band itself that makes you mature enough to join a real band.

age is irrelevant, only the skill level matters. If your 12, and you have the skill of 16 year old, then your cool. Inversely, if your 22, and you play like your 5, then you might not be suited for a band yet.

You can play in a band in any age, it all depends on how good are you at what you do or play. but if the band plays in places serve alcohol, That depends on what is drinking age at your state.

generally you can be about any age and play in a band. I guess it depends on the competency of the individual and the music business and you must have talent or nothing works!

any age you like. I mean their isn't an age when you can't be in a band. Besides ppl who have been in bands all of their lives have a lot of experience and are better than ppl that started when they weren't so young..well, some of them are anyway.

doesnt really matter...i started playing in a band when i was 14...just because i didnt have a lot of guitar experience before then...but if i did..i would prolly have been ina band when i was like 12 lol..i dont think it matter...the earlier you start....the better you will be when youre older

well i knw this kid who is in 7th grade and hes in a band with a couple of friends!!
So i think personally 14 and up depending on their persosonality!
