Yes I agree. Many people think life is a destination. They wish it away, waiting for the "next big thing": career, marriage, big house, death etc etc...but if you are too focused on where you're going, you don't enjoy where you are. We can't go back to the past. We can't travel to the future. We can only live in the present. So enjoy the journey, wherever it takes you. I'm not saying not to have plans & goals. Of course, go after your dreams, have things to look forward to! But don't forget to stop & smell the roses along the way. Don't forget to have fun. Working hard can be valuable but it is just as important to play. Life is beautiful. It is meant to be enjoyed not just survived. Yes there are bumps in the road. There are terrible, tragic, painful moments that you didn't see coming & weren't prepared for. Sometimes you almost want to give up. But you keep going. You don't give up because you don't know where the road is going to lead & something wonderful could be just around the corner. Life is what you make it so make it meaningful. Love yourself. Love others. Love the world & all its creatures. Love life. It's precious & it doesn't last very long...Enjoy the journey. You will reach your destination soon enough. Might as well have a good trip!

Sure it's a journey. The destination will depends on which journey/path we take. Very often, we are at a cross-road - many paths, leading to different destinations and the outcome of the destination is the path/journey we chose.

I agree. At one time I put every thing off until I thought I could deal with it, NEWS FLASH all it does is get bigger and bigger until you are under all the stuff you put off, So now I deal with whatever comes my way each and every day, and I not only deal with it, I am having a wonderful time along the way. So life is the journey, and when life is no more then you are at your destination, and with no baggage, luggage, or strife for a companion,

Well, your 'destination' in life is ultimately death. It's what happens between your birth and death that defines your life.
Not every moment is going to be this great 'experience" but there will be moments that define you and shape your life.
I think the best thing is to be open to the possibilities and embrace the concept of the Holy Moment and the Zen exhortation to "Be Here Now"
