10 to the second power means 10 * 10. So work out 9 * 10 * 10.

Right now it's in scientific notation.
To turn it into standard notation, think
9x(10^2) = 9x100 = 900
In other words, put two 0's behind the 9 because you've got times 10 to the second. I
If it was times 10 to the 4th you'd put 4 zeroes etc.
If you have a negative power you'd put one less than the absolute value of that number of zeroes, behind the decimal point.
For example, 9x10^(-2) = .09
put one zero behind the decimal point because |-2| - 1 = 1

Changing numbers from scientific notation to standard notation.
Ex.1 Change 6.03 x 107 to standard notation.
remember, 107 = 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 = 10 000 000
so, 6.03 x 107 = 6.03 x 10 000 000 = 60 300 000.
answer = 60 300 000.

it is in SN but u could change it to .9x10^3 or on a standard graphics calc. u would call it 9E100 or 90E10
10*10=100
100*9=900
9(10^2)=900
9(10*10)=900
