The one thing I had reservations on was that since they were going to try and spoof a lot of movies within the context of a single story, they were going to have to figure out a way to do the transitions between everything. Sure enough, I found that there were times when nothing was going on and thus there are dull periods within the movie.
Some of the scenes and jokes were hilarious... I'd get the soundtrack alone for the Jack Swallows "what's it like to be a pirate" scene done ala music video style. But as with most spoof movies, some jokes are great, others fall flat. For me, the spots were about 50/50 between funny and not.
I'm glad I went to see it, but I'm also glad I didn't pay full price for it... not a movie I think I'd buy on dvd for myself. Just catch it on cable whenever it comes out.

The adds for it look like crap. All the reviews I have read also suggest what the adds relay.
I doubt I will see it, unless some one else does all the hard work of renting it and bringing it over.
Or if I wait about five years, it'll be on TV at about three am, so if can be bothered to stay up, I might watch it, but only if I am not sticking needles in my eyes that night!

IT WAS CRAP. The transitions were bad from story to story. The beginning was funny. But then it got reaaallly lame and boring. Overall, it was a really stupid movie.

well i have my doubt until i watch it....the problem is...that no movie can be compared to the scary movie series...
the date movie was ok...not really something to watch twice...so my expectations r not that high for this movie...lets see what happens when i watch it...

i asked many different people (14-17 years-old) who watched it last night and they said it was ok. they said that the beginning was funny but then it got dumb.
