With plain old ice. You can pick it off once the gum is frozen.

I heard freezing the gum and pealing it off works.
Personally I have other options equally a failed proceedure..,
* Scare the fool out the gum! Supposedly it has a heart attack and releases its hold.
* Shoot it with a 12 guage shotgun. Its guaranteed to remove the gum.., but the pants are otherwise ruined.
* Show it the latest issue of "Play Gum" Magazine and it loosens its grip in the pants to seize the magazine
* Gnaw it it off. Sure the extra lint tastes bad but it cleans your teeth to that brillianty shiny look. Just stay away from bald people. The brilliance of your teeth will bounce off their heads and blind people within a 12 block radius.

Put the entire thing in your freezer. Wait 12 hours. Remove and chip the gum off the fabric.

rub some peanut butter on the area around the gum and slide the gum off

you can also place an ice cube on the area where the gum is and get if off after it has gotten really cold.

I bet if you wash them in the washing machine, the gum will come out. You could also google it ^-^

i don't really know but last year i got gum on my uniform shirt and its still there which is kinda gross.
