Girls are easier to potty train then boys. If you push them, it will sometimes take longer . I tried and tried with my son when he was 2 1/2, but right after his 3rd b-day, he was ready and it was no problem from there. I found that sticker charts worked, but only for a short time. He really enjoyed aiming at Cheerios's in the toilette too. Good luck!
P.S. As for the above comments: punishment will not work. Nobody likes to sit in their own filth, but it won't make him ready any faster.

I found it was easiest to let my kids lead me and let me kow when they were ready. There's absolutely no point in trying til they show an interest - you'd be banging your head against a brick wall. They need to be aware of the need for the toilet so understanding and wanting to do it really is important. Maybe try a star chart with a star for every time he hits target and a gift when he gets so many? Above all, encourage him loads, praise him hugely and don't lose heart. You don't get many kids starting school in nappies - they all catch up sooner or later!!

properly first of all you under no circumstances decide to instruct you're indignant with him if he does no longer bypass on the potty you have not got the desire to make it a chore, you have the desire to make it exciting and exciting, I also have a 2 one million/2 12 months previous he became obdurate earlier each little thing and struggling with me every time i attempted to place him on the pot. i found out i became making it complicated on him i began out to sing potty song and while i could examine to him i could make the character interior the e book him. We made it a pastime began to get greater mushy and he will on his very own now, while he does I make a huge deal out of it him kiss him and tell him what a stable boy he's then he gets to p.c.. a splash candy or decal particularly circumstances the two. he did no longer like the little potty or the rest room pad the two could sit down him on there straddled so he does no longer experience like became going to fall in. It basically takes time and a great style of sufferers have exciting with it i comprehend it is complicated yet turn it in to a pastime and you need to work out a huge distinction. stable luck mom of two

My sister has a little boy of the same age and she's having a lot more trouble training him than I did with my daughter. It's supposed to be harder for boys than girls, but the principals of training are exactly the same.

Im trying to toilet train my 2 and ahalf year old son, and im finding it difficult as he wouldnt use a normal potty so I bought him one of them potties that look like chairs so I sit him in front of the tv on his potty chair and he loves it, and he has started using it. I got him used to sitting on it with clothes on first and then put him on it without his nappy on and it seems to be working.

Wow you've been busy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My lad picked it up really easy just start by letting him run round with no nappy on, put a potty in the room where he is and keep asking him if he needs to pee. Remember lots of praise. He is no different to a girl really, just a bit more squirty!

i had one of each dont remember any difference in potty training they both sat to start with just lots of praise when they have success and no anger when it goes wrong, ps when they do start to stand up if they have a foreskin teach them to pull it back a bit so they dont splash too much!!

Next time they wet themselves, leave them wet for about 15 minutes.

They'll hate it.

Dont rush to clean them up, but clean the mess they made on the floor or where-ever. Do this every time they wet themselves, and they'll soon feel the need to hold it in and get to the potty.
