It is the study of lamps that produce genies and how they fit into your family tree, I think. By the way, I love the people that answer this question explaining genealogy. Simply adore.

Old lamps? I dont get it? Genealogy correctly spelt as GENEOLOGY is the study and tracing of family pedigrees. This involves the collection of the names of relatives, both living and deceased, and establishing the relationships among them based on primary, secondary and/or circumstantial evidence or documentation, thus building up a cohesive family tree. Genealogy (often misspelled "geneology"[1]) is often also referred to as family history, although these terms may be used distinctly: the former being the basic study of who is related to whom; the latter involving more "fleshing out" of the lives and personal histories of the individuals involved.

After a fashion. Sometimes it take a lot of rubbing on a lot of old hidden lamps to make the Genie appear. The way you have it, it would be the study of Genie, ain't English wonderful.

Yeah, you by old lamps and clean them up real good and then sell thim on one of those antique shows....it's the newest rage...Paris Hilton and Britney do it...you better run out to the next yard sale or you won't be cool anymore!!!
