Is it true that you can download PS1 games for PSP?

This is just a rumor I heard, but if it is true please tell me where and how to do it.

yes, but you need a ps3 to download them first from the playstation store (playstation.com) and then transfer to psp.

ps. i think there might be a ps1 emulator for the psp on qj.net
