i have a job building log homes. my job requiers me to travel to differnt parts of Michigan. and i'm gone 5 days at a time. when i file my taxes can i file for per diem and get the domestic per diem rates for the areas i'v been working in.

All of the $$$ you spend on a job location, for motels, food & etc is tax deductable. Most people aren't aware of all the deductions they can take. But, the IRS wants to keep it that way too!
