one of Hekate's story, where Demeter had lost her daughter Persiphone.and Hades took Persiphone to the Underworld and was going to keep Her there until Hekate, seen that Demeter was upset and Demeter asked Hekate to help Her find Her lost daughter.the whole world turned gray when Demeter was so saddened of her daughtter being lost.so,Hekate went and knew exactly where Persiphone was.Somehow She knew that she was in the Underworld with Hades.and Hekate took Persiphone back than gave her back to Demeter.i like this story b/c it shows the good side of Hekate.alot of ppl think that she is evil, which of course,me being so fond of Her,i do not think that she is evil neither.but the fact i like this story is b/c she rescues Persiphone from the ruler of the Underworld.that is the biggest step that u can take to battle with the ruler.
thanks for a gr8 question!

I love the Iliad but this was an epic not mythology. I would say that the story of Tantalus is one of the best because it gives us a common word that we use (tantalise).
I also like the one about Priapus and his wooden willy and any story about Daedalus the inventor.

That is a very hard question to answer because I love all the story's, but...my favorite (if anything) would be Odysseus and Medussa...an excellent story.
