Call and talk to a doc or nurse on call before going to the ER. Emergency Rooms are full of nastiness, and you don't want to expose yourself to all those germs if you don't need to.
If it is on the "line" where your belly meets your leg, but inside, and a pain that comes on quickly, is sharp for 15-30 sec, and goes away, it is probably a round ligament pain from your uterus growing. That is the most common pregnancy pain, and totally normal and fine. If it feels like anything other than that, you need to talk to a health care professional who can ask you more questions and have a conversation with you. If there isn't a way for you to get advice through your OB practice, you might want to look for another provider. Pregnant mamas need to be able to get their questions answered without having to resort to the ER.

I'm no doctor but I have had four kids and I am guessing you are feeling the stretched ligaments that hold your uterus in place. They can give a weird burning sensation or a tweaked feeling if you move too fast (or sometimes for no reason at all). I would call your ob doctor just to be safe. If your regular doctor is unavailable they should have a way to contact him or another doctor (or advice nurse). If you can't get a hold of a medical professional you could probably call you local hospital to speak to someone too. I wouldn't worry too much as long as you aren't having constant pain or bleeding of any kind. Good luck!

I had that problem early in my 2nd pregnancy (35 weeks now) and the doctor said it's because of your ligaments stretching. It should go away when you move around though.
Doc said that it would stop happening around when my uterus grew to a couple inches above my bellybutton (it did), but by then there are new aches and pains (like night time reflux !).
If the pain doesn't go away or gets worse, I'd go to the ER just to be safe. Or call your doc's office...does he have a partner?
Good luck!

It's called round ligament pains. Do a quick search on Yahoo and you'll see what I'm talking about. If it releaves itself when you change positon it's nothing to be alarmed about.
With the information you provided further it's definitly round ligament pains. Find a comfy position, drink some water and take a tylenol.
Everything will be just fine.

Honestly you haven't given enough info.. what does the pain feel like, is there any other symptoms, how long does it last or has it even gone away??? I wold say call the ER and talk to an OB nurse... She/ He will know what to do to help you.

It might be round ligiment pain, but it could be a cist or a tubal pregnancy. If it's not just a dull ache I would go to the ER ASAP.

Better safe than sorry. Go and get it checked out as soon as... it's probably just a slight muscle strain caused by lying awkwardly/differently because you're pregnant.

You can't go to your doctor, but you can call his answering service and get the doc on call. Call and see if you need to go to the ER! You may need to be seen to check the health of your baby!

When in doubt always go to the ER when pregnant. It's probably nothing but you never know.
