Well I have a cousin (male) called Terry, so to me, the name Terry is a male name. I also watched a show with the main character being Terri (a female). I dont mind Terri being a female name. I am from Australia

There are many of both around here (Southwestern Ontario, Canada) but probably a few more Terry's that are male. But I've known several of each gender.
Generally it is Terry with a "y" for guys and Terri with an "i" for women.

I live in Indiana, and I know two people named Terry. One is a girl from Indiana, but was born in Arizona, and the other is a guy from Tennessee. I also know a girl, Terri, from Ohio.
Typically, if it ends in I it's a girl, Y is a guy. I think it's one of those unisex names that goes either way very well.

When I see the name Terri, I naturally think of a female, just as I do when I see the name Toni & Tommie.

I live in Hampton roads, Virginia..big cities. Well, I had a friend in high school and her name was Teri, and I had a mechanic working for me named Terry. It's both, but I would choose something different. Like Cheyenne for a girl and Jerry for a boy
