My family has custody of my 8 year old cousin, and at Christmas, I got an iPod, and ever since then, she's been bugging us to get her one, we said no, but she agreed to a CD player. I'd like to get her some CD's, but I don't know what to get her. I'd like to see how she likes pop-punk music, but I really need to find something 8 year old appropriate. My mom doesn't want her to have anything Hannah Montana, or anything she considers "slu.t music" (Britney Spears, Danity Kane, Christina Aguilera, etc... my mom's extremely strict...) so that's why I was thinking about some pop-punk bands, maybe like Good Charlotte or something. I'd like to know if anyone could give me some suggestions of bands that would be suitable for her, that I could find the CD's at Wal-Mart. Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated!

I do not know any punk bands that are appropriate for an eight year old, because there isn't any. Either your cousin changes her taste in music, or your mom becomes less strict. I know normal eight year old girls like the following:
*kidz bop
*high school musical
*cheetah girls
If Hannah Montana isn't appropriate, then...WOW. That's ridiculous.
P.S. Good Charlotte mentions death and love. How is that appropriate but not Hannah Montana??!
