The free version which is supported is the 7.5.432 and it is very good. I notice about three updates on the average, daily. It does a complete scan every morning when I boot up. A technician set me up with it that way, and I have never been happier. It is virtually maintenance-free, like being on automatic pilot. He installed the 7.1 version, but Grisoft stopped supporting that version in January of this year, so I had to visit their website and update mine to the 7.5.432 which I now have, which is the version that is suppported by Grisoft. It is a snap to use, and I hope you will soon come to realise that you just have a very good and efficient program on your computer. Thank you for posting your question.

If you think about the number of people out there with malicious intent, then you can kind of equate why there's more than one patch a day. Norton doesn't update as often, so I guess you're not protected as efficiently as you are with AVG

Yes, you are being a bit paranoid. In this case, the more updates the better as to insure that your pc is fully protected against attacks. This is normal.

AVG is brilliant - don't complain if they're giving you updates to protect your computer FREE OF CHARGE!
