i am a doctor in turkey. i want to go for work usa (with usmle). i want to be a gynecologist. so that i need to learn about the doctor's life in usa.

The life of a physician in the USA isn't what it once was. Malpractice insurance has been a MAJOR issue for many specialties - especially Ob/Gyns.

It really depends on where you practice and what kind of practice you join. Pay in a big city will be higher but so will expenses.

Also, check with the licensing boards before you move or apply for jobs. Make sure the license you have in Turkey is recognized by the US licensing division for your specialty.

There's a large range of pay, depending on the specialty and also whether you work for a hospital or own your own practice. BUt a gynecologist earns about $150,000-$250,000 per year (USD).
