I'm perplexed that you don't want links. Is that too much work? I know it's much more convenient to just get answers written for you, but what good is doing this activity if you're not willing to work at it?

I was on a youth legislature (many years ago). Our state had a law that required a supermajority (60%) in the state senate to pass new taxes, or something like that (it was 35 years ago, so it's hard to remember).

I thought that was stupid, so I wrote up a bill to get rid of that and make it a simple majority to pass... the tax or whatever it was.

Two years later one of the senators took my youth-bill and sponsored it, and it passed as law! I was happy.

Anyway... we all had a list of projects to choose from, and that was what I picked. Does your teacher/sponsor have a list of projects, or do you have to make up your own?

If you have to make up your own, then you could use my idea. Find out if something requires a supermajority (something way greater than 50%) to pass in the state senate or house (or whatever you call them in your state), then go after that.

Good luck!
