Go to the ipod preferences in itunes and click restore.

This puts your ipod back to factory settings. everything's gone.

unless you really mean everything. including the software that the ipod uses to access files in which case you should use whatever disk utility that you have on your computer. Which I don't really suggest that you do. It won't hurt anything and you can get the software back. It just seems like it would be a waste of time.

on i Tunes, go to preferences, Ipod, and then check to manually update, or update by albums. then uncheck everything u want off.
