The answer is 105K. 'Ron' gets the right answer but doesn't explain how. MBK also gets the right answer, but by a method of trial and error.

The correct methodology is. after 6 minutes the first car has travelled 70x(6/60) = 7k.

The second car gains at the rate of 75/5 over the first car = 15.

Distance required is 15x7k = 105k.

My word, what a range of answers to a Q that can have only one correct A!! 105km is correct.

After 90 minutes, 1.5 hours, the first car will have travelled 70 plus half of 70 = 105km. The second will travel 9/10 of 75 km in the first 54 mins (9/10 of an hour) which is 67.5km and half of 75km in the next half hour which is 37.5km making a total of 105km.
