The childsupport guidelines in the state of Florida are written to be deliberately unfair to the non primary custodial parent. While I have no problem supporting my children I do know the difference between Child Support and Shrew support. Moreover I feel the default scenario should be that any father who wants greater than forty percent of the overnights should be granted it and the benefits of such an agreement. Noting how unfair this system is I was wondering if anyone could tell me what part of the 3rd Reich they originated in.

The entire system of child support is totally 1000000000000000% against males. Women always get the kid and the dad is stuck giving the woman thousands of dollars a year. Look at stars and sports figures, they end up giving the woman like $25,000 a month in child support. There is no way in the world it takes $25,000 a month to raise a child. There are women who make a living on child support, 3 kids, 3 different dad's equals about $1500 a month. Most of the time the woman just spends the money on herself. Child support laws are written by liberal democrats and they should all be struck down and rewritten by people with brains.

There is a lot of unfairness in the child support system, that's for sure. In Texas, the percentage is 20% for the first child, and 5% for each additional child. Where is the logic in that? But it's all at the whim of the presiding judge, depending on what county you're in.

My brother was ordered to pay $1000 a month to his ex after the judge found out he'd been to topless bars and had a DWI charge. It was purely vindictive, and since his business had gone bankrupt and his ex got the house, it wasn't even a percentage of anything. My elderly parents paid the support to keep him from going to jail for non-payment.

I'm lucky to be friends with my second ex. He makes three times as much money as I do, and pays support and half of all our 9-year-old son's sports expenses, and also buys him clothes and shoes sometimes on his own, no complaints. We also superceded the court order to make our own arrangements of visitation every other day, and alternate weekends, and continue this during school breaks so neither one of us has to be without him for long periods of time. It's been going smoothly for two years now, and I'm really glad it's working out so well. More equitable visitation in court orders would probably make life easier for both parents and children, and result in fewer hard feelings all around.

I hope things improve for you. I had a hard time with my first ex, who was spiteful and didn't pay for years at a time, and acted like he was doing me a favor when he did. I managed, though. Our son is 18 now, and it's overwith at last. It's so hard when there are bad feelings, so I know what you're talking about.

the whole system is bogus and based soley on keeping the state from having to spend money ... they dont care about the situation at all or whats fair ... as long as the kids are guaranteed to be supported and they favor the mother because 90% of the time thats where the kids stay ..
