Messing with the chakras can be dangerous because each chakra is closeley linked with the glands of the endocrine system.

the endocrine system is NOT one of the theings you want to mess with because if you get your endocrine system messed up; you could be forced to go on life sustaining medication.

My advice is to leave them alone and don't try to fix something that isn't broke.

There are seven major chakras in the body. From top to bottom they are; crown, brow, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral, and root. These focal points of energy reside in the aura close to the body. Each one is connected to different glands in the body. Your chakras can either become blocked or out of line. Having them blocked or not aligned can cause problems with your mental and physical health. That is why most times people just feeling like they are in a "funk" and don't know what is wrong.
Chakra locations and purpose;
Crown- top of the head- pineal gland
Brow- between the eyes- pituitary gland
Throat- front and back of neck- thyroid gland
Heart- chest- thymus gland
Solar Plexus- stomach- pancreas
Sacral- below the belly button (waist)- sexual organs
Root- base of the spine- adrenal cortex and kidneys

Focusing your energy during meditation can help to align your chakras. Chakra Oracle cards are available that give different mantras to use during meditation. Also, visiting a Reiki specialist can help to unblock and align them.

The chakras are responsible for your emotions and health. They make your Ki ( Life Force, Life Energy ) flow.

If any of your chakras are unbalanced, you may start to feel bad and may get sick.

You can keep these chakras in tact if you meditate or simply open them for example, this can be done in many various ways.
Healthy food is good for them!
And some sports are not bad either.

Things will become easier for you when chakras are activated and open.
As stronger they are, as better it is.

Your chakras are like the "stations" along the route that energy travels through your body. If one of them is blocked then the energy cannot flow properly and it affects your mental as well as your physical health. By removing the blockage and increasing the flow of energy you allow your body to heal and function properly. Yoga is one way to do this.
