Antidisestablishmentarianism -
1. A political philosophy opposed to the separation of church and state, esp. opponents in 19th century England against separating the Anglican church from the state.
2. Referred to as an atypically long word for showing intellectual pretence.

SIDE NOTE: I learned this when I was in Grade 2 - so that I could impress people - they still need impressing, so it's a good word to have in your vocabulary.

hello,

i think it might be - but i dont know if i know, but i am not jealous, NO. why should i be? i have no reason to be. I hate this in anyone and its not part of my general makeup of character.
i wonder why you ask here? ??

PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS (45 letters long). - the end of the word will not print as i have found when i have pressed the preview button and submitted it, but is ends like this.....ILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS.

it is also spelt as -

PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOKONIOSIS)

- a lung disease caused by breathing in particles of siliceous volcanic dust.

It is I believe the longest word present in any English dictionary.
It can be found in the Webster's, Random House, and Chambers dictionaries.

the next longest factitious word is:
HEPATICOCHOLANGIOCHOLECYSTENTEROSTOMIES (37 letters)
NOTE: -CYSTENTEROSTOMIES is the end of this word but again it will not print here after i have edited and submitted the work, for some reason.
