Yes. You can't see it but you can feel it. If you mean the other sort of wind, then let it rip. Better out than in and you can always apologise afterwards - or blame it on the dog!

Perhaps this isn't the best analogy, but shall we stick with it? One way to deal with it would be to let it off whilst no-one is around, or to let it off around people whose sense of smell is poor, in this case, the thick skinned... I suppose if you hang around alone for a while anger can dissipate, and if you show anger to people who won't notice it, the negative effects will be minimal.

Of course, you could take a decongestant to neutralise the anger as well- what that was would depend on the cause of the hatred, but I'm guess humility and forgiveness would be good 'brands' to go for. The sooner you treat the 'wind', the better of course... when you realised you had it, you'd want to go for that decongestant straight away, not just hang around with it troubling you and other people for ages.

This is all a little twee though- hatred isn't precisely wind... it's more like a virus, or a poison... or just hatred, not precisely like anything else, and probably not purely itself either... I mean, it often occurs mixed up with lots of other negative emotions, and maybe a few positive ones as well... pity the poor fellow experiencing love and hate at the same time! What'd that be like?

I believe that you must first love to experience hatred. Hatred is an emotion born out of pain and ignorance, getting rid of it is a matter of simple meditation and concentration on transforming the energy of negative hatred into something positive and thereby being able to release it without harming those around you. Think about the wind and it's many forms, it can be a gentle calming breeze or a torrential hurricane and many things in between. Focusing on hatred as the damaging wind of a hurricane, then begin to watch it be effected by the flow of winds and temperatures around it. Concentrate on seeing the damaging wind slowly dissipating and beginning to become a part of the more gentle winds surrounding and flowing through it, just as all things are a part of one another and with each breath let the negative hatred flow from you and dissipate into the breath of life itself where it can become positive energy to be a nurturing influence absorbed by both yourself and others. Letting go of hatred is easiest when we understand ourselves and the reasons for our hatred honestly. When we are honest with ourselves we can truly experience joy and love on a level far above the negative influence of hatred.

Its not like wind, it's ego, a particular dimension inside the brain. Part of the negative side of the universe in which Satan is ruler. You must treat hatred like a sickness. First off you must acknowledge the sickness before you can treat it. Once you do this, you have taken the first step, then you try to find the roots of the hatred. Like why do you feel this way? Discover why then you will be on your way to stomping it out of your soul. Through prayer, meditation and succumbing to the Lord's plan of forgiveness and redemption you will heal yourself. When you do, you will feel better, your IQ will increase by 15 points, you will start to come over to the more positive side of the universe

Since most hatred stems from ignorance or jealousy, hatred is not like wind but rather like a serious, chronic illness - you can either accept it and learn to see things positively i.e. change it by changing your perspective, or you can let it eat you up (mentally) until you can't function any more.

If necessary, ever try beating up a teddy bear? Can't hurt their feelings and they can stand the strongest verbal abuse. If it's a one shot hate thing, it should work.

Unfortunately, hate is also a poison. It saps and weakens you in the long term. It should be leached out.

I don't know what the thing/person/object is that you hate but if it's presence returns and returns, you might want to talk to a (VERY) good friend or consult a doctor in psychology.

Tee hee. I've never heard hatred compared to flatulence before! If you're going to choose one of the elements, I think hatred is more like fire. It burns inside you & when you spew it out like a fire-breathing dragon you scorch everyone & everything around you. It is a strong, violent, destructive force.

I thought hatred was the thing to do and being kind was wrong? Isn't that why everyone in the world is fighting all the time.

Eat slowly and chew everything 100 times this creates less wind in the gut.

well, maybe you should let it out when there's no-one else there. like just stand in the middle of an empty field and scream or cry or just take a little time to clear your head. i did that once, it really helped. i am soooooo wierd lol. then next time, just as with wind, try not to take in anything that disagrees with you lol...
